B-Events.com launches a truly UNIQUE web site, www.B-Events.com.
West Richland, WA -- March 23,2000
On March 25,2000, B-Events.com will launch a truly unique web site for the new millennium. The unique service that B-Events.Com brings to the Internet is that it provides a single website to register 'User Events. The User Event is any activity that an individual might participate in. They are not professionally organized events, but just the ordinary activities of ordinary people. For instance, Jeff likes to pan for gold. He registers an event to go 'gold panning for 10:00AM on Saturday, June 10th. Anyone interested in a day of gold panning to meet at the junction of Hwy 395 and the North Fork of the John Day River in Oregon. Loni enjoys softball. He registers an event to meet on Sunday at 2:00PM at the softball diamond in Land Park in Sacramento. Teams will be chosen at 2:30, bring your own glove and bat. Or, Jack is taking his two daughters for a day at Boulder Cave in Chinook Pass, WA. Interested parents with children of all ages meet at the main barbeque pit at Boulder Cave State Park at 10:00AM on Saturday, July 31st. Boulder Cave is suitable for small children. Bring a flashlight for the cave, shoes to walk in the creek and a dish for the potluck.
Any member can enter as many events as they choose. Any member can view all of the events, anywhere in the country, on www.B-Events.com and possibly pick an event to attend. Each attendee will know several things about the event. All attendees are interested in this event or they wouldnt be there. All attendees want the company of others or they wouldnt have used B-Events.com. All attendees will be in a certain demographic group -- teens, single adults, parents with small children. Everyone will also know that the event and all of the attendees will have been screened by a 'feedback loop within B-Events.com. Too many negative feedback comments and a member or an event submitter will lose his membership.
B-Events.com will also have listings for the traditional commercial events -- baseball games, state fairs, concerts, rodeos, parades, etc. The commercial events are listed to provide information for the commercial event but not provide a user event. An example commercial event might be the Washington State Fair for Kennewick, WA. A mother of two small children could then register a User Event for parents of small children to meet at the state fair petting zoo at 10:00AM on childrens day -- 'bring a dozen copies of a favorite recipe to trade.
A father and son computer programming team in Washington State developed the concept of B-Events.com. Their desire was to find fun, wholesome activities for themselves, their families and their friends. They decided to build a nation-wide website to help everyone, everywhere find something fun to do and somebody interesting to do it with. With www.B-Events.com available, no 'user-member will ever again be able to say, 'Theres nothing for me to do, or 'I cant meet people. The computer and the Internet have separated and isolated people for far too long. Its time that the computer and the Internet brought us back together again. This is the dream and the goal of www.B-Events.com.
