CompuMetric Labs Releases User-friendly Interface GPr for Linux Client Printing

Software Available as Part of Open Source Printing Project on VA Linux Systems' SourceForge[tm]

April 3, 2000, Mobile, AL - CompuMetric Labs, Inc. today announced the release of GPr, a new user-friendly interface that enhances the ability of Linux client
applications to tap the full capabilities of all PostScript laser and ink jet printers. The graphical user interface of GPr makes it fast and easy for users to take full advantage of
all printer capabilities, including advanced features for color control, paper handling, and finishing options, etc. Furthermore, one simple interface can now be used for all
PostScript printers and with virtually all Linux client applications.

"While there are many very capable desktop applications for Linux, such as word processors and spreadsheets, the quality of printing from those applications has been
constrained by limitations in what the underlying operating system has been able to support," said CompuMetrics Labs president Wayne C. Hubbell. "Now with GPr and the
Open Source Printing Project, one of the barriers inhibiting the widespread use of Linux on client workstations is being removed."

GPr is open-source software that builds on a library of standard printing functions, libppd, which is part of the Open Source Printing Project on VA Linux Systems' (Nasdaq:
LNUX) SourceForge[tm], the world's largest Open Source development center. GPr is immediately and freely available under terms of the GNU General Public License. A
GPr/libppd package is available for download from CompuMetric Labs at http://www.compumetric.com, or individually from http:/printing.sourceforge.net.

Along with continuing development of new features and enhancements to GPr, CompuMetric Labs offers development services to assist printer suppliers and other
organizations interested in providing enhanced Linux printing solutions. In addition, CompuMetric Labs provides Linux printer testing services, test suites, and support.
