Gary Paul's Latest Release Premiers High on MP3.coms World Fusion Chart.
Within 24 hours of its Web release, ‘Croissance, an intensely melodic instrumental from ‘Life After Life the latest creative endeavor of songwriter Gary Paul was at number eighteen in the MP3.com world fusion category. Within a week it had climbed to number five.
Life after Life is a compilation of thirteen instrumental compositions combining an eclectic variety of influences that produces Gary Pauls unique performance style. As a whole this release emotes the sweet tones of new age, the varied flavors of world music, a structure reminiscent of European classical themes with the intensity of rock. About Gary Paul
Gary Paul started composing music at 15. His high school band, Phogg, relentlessly won regional band battles in his native New England, sharing the stage with East Coast greats J. Giels, Room Full Of Blues and Al Anderson. Phogg changed formats from rock to Eagle-ese country-rock, renamed itself "Spur" and went on to sign RCA's first quad release in then early seventies.
By 1979, Gary Paul had a catalog of more than three hundred compositions. His solo album "Just A Word" was independently released in August and a six-month solo tour followed. He continued to write and perform locally throughout the next decade, while raising his son in a small town in the Northwest.
In 1999, Gary Paul had produced an instrumental compilation 'Return To Earth featuring dynamic backgrounds and definitive melodic lines. Says Paul, " When they told you to 'do what you love', they were right."
