SEARCH engines are out of date and out of touch with what web users want.

Even some of the best known names such as Yahoo, Alta Vista and Lycos search only a small percentage of the one billion indexable web pages and the majority rely on databases stored in America.

We are aiming to deliver an 80% response rate -- almost ten times better than many existing search engines. This is because our database is in the UK and will therefore deliver more accurate answers to UK searches.

We want to ensure that users will be where they want to be within three clicks of their mouse.

Its an exciting project which we and our backers are convinced is the way ahead."
