IndieBiz.com to launch new CD-Rom series at Indie Music Forum
NASHVILLE, Tennessee -- IndieBiz.com, a leading music promotion organization, is proud to announce the debut of their long awaited promotion tips CD-Rom at the San Francisco Indie Music Forum. The CD is the first in a series known as "Indie 1000" because it contains 1000 promotion tips for independent musicians and labels.
IndieBiz.com (http://www.indiebiz.com/) is an interactive web-based service aimed at musicians and other independent music business people who are serious about their career. By combining powerful communications and database capabilities, IndieBiz.com provides a comprehensive resource and online community for independent musicians and business people.
"The strength behind IndieBiz.com is its membership. We're using a global tool like the Internet to network people locally and regionally," said David Hooper, founder of IndieBiz.com. "The strength of Indie Music Forum is that it is designed around a regional scene. We thought it was the perfect place for us to launch this new product."
IndieBiz.com encourages bands to saturate a small to medium sized area to protect from spreading their promotion too thin. Guerrilla marketing is emphasized over the more popular techniques of larger companies and labels.
Bands don't have the money to play the major label game," said Katie Davidson of Kathode Ray Music. At IndieBiz.com, we teach bands that they can succeed by
going around the traditional methods. The Indie 1000 CD has one thousand examples of exactly how to do this."
The Indie 1000 series is free to independent bands and is paid for entirely by sponsors. In addition to 1000 promotional tips, the disc features video games by independent programmers, artwork by independent artists, and music from bands in IndieBiz.com.
Bands, musicians, and labels wishing to get involved with the project by adding their contact information and promotion tips may do so for free by going to http://www.indiebiz.com/cdrom/ and filling out the online form.
