EDISOFT LIMITED ANNOUNCES A FULLY INTEGRATED BUSINESS TO BUSSINESS SOLUTION FOR SMALL TO MEDIUM-SIZE ENTERPRISES

Edisoft Limited announced the release of Edisoft Merchant a Version 1.5B, a fully functional, Internet enabled B2B desktop solution for small and medium sized businesses.
Available immediately, this product provides a cost-effective, integrated solution for users of ACCPAC Corporate, Small Business and Plus series, and Great Plains Dynamics and e-Enterprise accounting software. Edisoft® Merchant enables business partners to exchange common transactions such as orders and invoices, as well as other documents, while eliminating the current practice of re-keying data into their back office accounting systems. "Our first step was to create one B2B application which seamlessly integrated with our users accounting systems. The second step was to automate the logistics of our customers goods and services." The Core application allows users to send and receive several business documents including orders, invoices and payments while reading and writing directly to the accounting systems. It has built in communication (IP as well as asynchronous dial up), document translation, as well as reading and writing to and from the accounting systems native files. Many users are up within hours of installation.

The Remote Warehousing Plug-in allows a business to notify multiple warehouses of what to ship and where. The application reads and writes directly with the accounting database for seamless integration and full audit control. Orders are classified by ship from locations, and are communicated directly with the warehouse. Once orders have been shipped, the business is notified and the accounting system is automatically updated. Remote Warehousing helps its users meet increasing customer demands for tighter order-turnaround times as a result of increased use of MRP (Materials Resource Planning) and JIT (Just-in-Time) inventory systems.

The ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) enables auto-packing, cloning, as well as pooling of items on orders for warehouse to produce the ASN. It also provides a full mapping tool, which enables packing information to be derived from external applications, including scanners within the warehouse. The ASN is used to notify Global 5000 companies of expected shipments and order status.

The Bar-code module works in conjunction with the ASN Module to integrate the warehouse bar coding with the Advanced Shipping Notice to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
