April 29, 2000STRATEGIC ALLIANCE between CORAZONG RECORDS and MUSICAVENUECorazong Records, the Dutch based offshoot of ex-King Biscuit President Evert Wilbrinks www.music-management.com, has entered into a strategic alliance with Music Avenue in Brussels, Belgium. It is expected that later this year Corazong and Music Avenue will become one company. As an immediate result Corazong is distributing Music Avenue in the Netherlands and Belgium through its deal with Roadrunner/Arcade and in Scandinavia through MNW. Music Avenue will distribute Corazong in France (M10), Switserland (K-Tel) and Italy (Frontiers). The two separate UK sales & distribution deals of the companies will be combined by mere coincidence as RMG and Apex are merging their operations.Corazong gm Ed Bos and Music Avenue president Alphonze Falckenbach will be meeting in Cologne this week with their promotion staff to map out the strategy for Germany where the company will enter into a distribution arrangement with Bellaphon.Corazong currently has Dee Dee Ramone on an extensive 30+ concert tour of Germany and is preparing to launch
zydeco queen Lisa Haley this summer on Festivals in Danmark, France, Portugal, the UK and Benelux. Music Avenue is canvassing at the moment Germany with a mega-tour of more than three months by heavy bands Slyce, Resurrection and Crush Groove.Falckenbach and Wilbrink are talking to a couple of US based labels that could increase the power of the Corazong / Music Avenue operation even more on short notice.www.corazong.cominfo@corazong.com
