The Last Original INK SPOT"
Best known today as the only surviving member to be recruited by the original INK SPOTS, Harold Jackson takes his INK SPOTS" and plans to go back out on tour.
Some of the hits Jackson recorded with the INK SPOTS were: IF I DIDNT CARE", TO EACH HIS OWN", WHISPERING GRASS", JAVA JIVE", plus several others.
Jarrett-Martini Productions is proud to announce the representation of a world musical legend, HAROLD JACKSONS INK SPOTS: Harold Jackson, the only surviving member to be recruited by the original INK SPOTS. Now at 90 years old, Harold has decided to take the show on the road again and give the world another chance to see and feel whom the INK SPOTS are and how they make everyone feel. This is an event no one should miss.
Harold Jackson has recorded over one hundred records, most of which were made after he joined the original INK SPOTS. Before Harold was officially recruited by INK SPOTS leader Charlie Faqua in 1948, he could be found performing with such musical legends as Duke Ellington in 1946, Hot Lips Paige in 1947, Cab Calloway and the Billy Williams Quartet, 1948. Harold also worked with Sid Cesar and Imogene Coco on Your Show of Shows" and appeared at the world-famous Apollo Theater in Harlem.
Mr. Jacksons film credits include a cameo in Darlin Lil" with Rock Hudson and Julie Andrews, and more recently in the movie Swing Shift" with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.
Harold Jackson has continued to perform to the mass audiences, and is ready to travel with THE INK SPOTS worldwide. The influx of imitators of the Ink Spots has made Harold Jacksons Ink Spots have a rough road to maintain the integrity and quality of the original concept and traditions. He has been devoting his vast creative musical energy and talents to bringing audiences in the 2000s, the lush and romantic sounds of THE INK SPOTS. These will be shows that no one will ever forget.
Jarrett-Martini Productions is promoting Harold Jacksons Ink Spots to get the word out to the world that there is still an Ink Spot that is the closest to the first fathers of the musical icons THE INK SPOTS", that is alive and well, and performing with the charm and rhythm as only an original can.
Jarrett-Martini Production is securing concert dates and television appearances beginning June 2000.
