New Geek Search Engine Promises Easy Computer Shopping

SAN JOSE, CA - May 26, 2000 - As more and more PC hardware
enthusiasts and electronics shoppers head online, a new
comparison search engine targetting them is announced today.

Geeko.com - or "Geeko" - led by web developer and self
described geek Muhammed Desai and a worldwide team of volunteers,
aims to provide a single web destination to help consumers
and PC electronics enthusiasts find product street prices, auction prices,
reviews, and discussions, from as little as a single keyword
search on the internet.

Mr. Desai said today, "Whereas in the past web surfers have had
to go to several web sites to dig up the latest product reviews,
lowest street prices, auctions, and even related Usenet discussions,
Geeko is the first to offer all this at a single web stop."

Already plans are in place to expand the search limits to include
direct vendor prices from participating online stores. Currently,
Geeko boasts over 30,000 weekly indexed hardware, news, and Linux,
sites that will provide the bulk of product reviews that geeks are known
to crave. On the other end, over 10,000 computer related vendors are
accessible through the "Lowest Prices" search, which is essentially
made up of other popular street price services including Pricewatch.com,
Pricegrabber.com, and C|Net Networks' Shopper. With this setup,
Desai hopes product research and purchase time is cut dramatically.

Geeko also features up-to-the-minute PC industry news,
including tech stocks, Palm and Pocket computing, Linux, and
the PC semiconductor industry. "I'd be hard pressed to find a
site that gives you this much variety, and with this much ease
of use," adds Desai, "That's our strength, presenting the
PC crowd with a balanced front end that will help learning
about, and shopping for, new products so quick and simple."
