ABAS at Europe's greatest Linux Event

ABAS at LinuxTag 2000: 29 June to 2nd July 2000
Europe's greatest Linux event - "where .com meets .org"

Meanwhile LinuxTag 2000 has become an important meatingpoint throughout Europe. Last year the event was bursting at the seams - therefore the organizors relocated it this year. Now, the venue is the Exhibition centre of Messe Stuttgart International. Date: 29 June to 2nd July 2000. Just according to the 'Free software' idea the entrance will be free for the free talk programme from Friday to Sunday and for the trade fair.

Doing business with Linux - Linux in the business
Thursday, the first day of the fair, will take place against the background of business-to-business. Due to an own platform, the business congress, LinuxTag 2000 will offer the possibility to IT specialists and decision-makers of informing themselves about the professional use of the Linux operating system in their companies. ( The business congress is liable for costs.)

GNU/Linux - GNU/Linux is the correct name of the operating system which is generally known as Linux - still enjoys unbroken popularity. With good reason. Spoken with the terms of the informatics, GNU/Linux is chrash-safe, resources-saving, safe, free, open. If you translate this into: low maintenance, efficient, reliable, cost-effective, standardized the interest of the industry in GNU/Linux becomes clear.

For several years now, ABAS have been commited to Linux. Besides Windows NT / 2000 and Unix abas-EKS, the standard business software for industry and trade, is also used on Linux. In the meantime, 400 of the 1 000 customer installations are running under Linux - and all of them in small to medium-sized businesses. At LinuxTag 2000 in Stuttgart the visitors will have the chance to inform themselves about the ERP software abas-EKS based on Linux. In the framework of the free talk programme, ABAS will give a talk on Linux as the platform for business solutions Saturday, 1st July 2000. The main focus will be on the experiences which ABAS and its customers have made with Linux as server operating system.

ABAS at the exhibition
Abiding by the LinuxTag motto 'where .com meets .org', commercial and uncommercial exhibitors are represented at the LinuxTag exhibition. The abas stand will be in Hall 6.0 (Stand: 6.0.1.64). The main focus of our presentation will be on the new Version 10 of the ERP software abas-EKS and on the new eBusiness software TROJA as well as on the possibilities of using them.
