Sporting Site "Partners" With Open Space Preservation
TrophyArt LLC has just unveiled their Open Space Partners program. This
unique program uses affiliate sales agreements as tools to raise funds
for open space preservation. Participating merchants include About.com,
OfficeMax, Orvis, Priceline.com, Pets.com, eAngler, J.C. Whitney,
1-800-Flowers, and more.
Open space preservation is becoming a top environmental issue in the more populated regions of the country, and not a moment too soon", says Joe Douglass, Managing Member of TrophyArt LLC. With the strong economy, the pace of development has accelerated. It's had a major impact on the landscape. Open space is a finite resource. Once its gone, its gone forever. We cant stop growth, but can have smart" growth, which concentrates
development in some areas while preserving areas of ecological or recreational importance. Momentum is growing to set more land aside for future generations to enjoy. But were in a race against competing interests. Our Open Space Partners program will help accelerate the preservation process."
The Open Space Partners program links to participating retailers through
http://www.trophyart.com/pages/ospartners.html. When a user clicks
through the Open Space Partners page and makes a purchase, the retailer
pays TrophyArt a referral fee, typically between 5 and 15% of the purchase price. Half of this fee is pledged to open space preservation. Were partnering with our cause" says Douglass, and everyone benefits. Conservation-minded consumers can now add a special value to their purchases, at no extra cost. Why wouldnt they use it? Were very proud of this program, and optimistic for its future." So proud, in fact, that they invite other organizations to copy their idea. By sharing our business model, we hope to achieve the greatest collective result in the shortest possible time" explains Douglass.
TrophyArt LLC will network with conservation and sporting organizations to identify projects for financial support. One of our primary criteria will be public access. We want our grandchildren to have the opportunity to enjoy the resources that we help preserve" says Douglass. The ideal project will create or expand a national or state forest or wildlife management area". TrophyArt will provide regular updates on their web site regarding the funds raised and projects supported through the Open Space Partners program.
Douglass is a Registered Environmental Manager with B.S. degree in environmental science. Hes also an avid sportsman. Together with sons
Woody (14) and Calvin (13), he founded TrophyArt LLC to develop their
sporting interests into a business enterprise, while expanding his
environmental focus from regulation to conservation. TrophyArts main
product is the TrophyShot", which combines a sportsmans photo and
information with a fine art print in a preservation-quality frame. The
TrophyShot is an artistic and affordable alternative to taxidermy that
allows for catch-and-release of trophy fish.
