E-MAIL GRANT REPORT COMPETES WITH PAID PRINT PUBLICATION
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
BROOKLYN, N.Y. June 12, 2000 - Abraham J. Perlstein, an attorney from New York, known as Abe to his clients and associates, has started a free e-mail newsletter listing grant opportunities with the federal government.
Being frustrated by the cost and delays of print publications reporting grant and RFP information, Abe has started the Abe's Grant Report. The e-mail newsletter, delivered every weekday, focuses on federal grants listed in the Federal Register and occasionally includes requests from states and private foundations.
"I'm a strong believer that goods such as books and CDs should cost money but information on the Net should be free." he says. "Why should public information like that listed in the Federal Register cost $300, $400 or $500 a year and then be received 2 to 3 weeks after its public, this is what happens when you subscribe to hard copy publications."
Having researched grant opportunities for his clients he decided that others could use this information in a timely manner. "By the time I found out about grant opportunities there was greater pressure to create proposals with shorter deadlines because of these delays."
The newsletter allows subscribers to receive RFP information for Federal grants the same day that it's published in the Federal Register.
