OUT2.COM INTERNET ADVERTISING DELIVERY SYSTEM DELIVERS PRECISE TARGETS WITHOUT PRIVACY VIOLATIONS
Online Community Newspaper Publisher Targets Segments by Geography and Subject
WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA -- A new system of delivering local advertising everywhere has been developed by Out2.com, an online publisher of more than 10,000 community newspapers throughout the United States. Through its patent pending system, Out2.com is courting Internet advertisers that want to reach narrow target segments that are defined by both subject and geography.
Its not good enough to deliver advertising by zip code," said Bob Leonard, CEO of Out2.com. Advertisers want to reach consumers in the communities where they live. This is based on consumers own perceptions; people identify their communities by name, not by zip code. Advertisers also want to reach consumers by topic. This is why Out2.com delivers advertising by both community and subject, meaning that extremely narrow audiences can be reached, regardless of where they are."
The system is unique because it delivers specific local consumers to advertisers without any invasion of privacy. The proprietary technology eliminates the need to track user habits or identities, and does not infringe on any existing patents. It also delivers advertising at market" pricing, creating greater control for advertisers working with tight budgets.
Out2.coms Geo-Subject delivery enables precise targeting. For example, an ice cream parlor across from a community recreation facility could advertise to members of soccer teams who play at that park. They can also specify to reach only players -- and their parents -- within a targeted age group.
Examples can be found in each section of Out2.coms editions. Organized like a printed newspaper, advertisers can select the section, and then narrowly defined subsections. For example, a bookstore across from a college can advertise to students at that campus. They can also advertise to students from the campus who are also sports fans. Or, they can advertise to only those students from the campus who are basketball fans, excluding the baseball and football fans.
Segments can be precisely defined as narrowly as the students of a particular elementary school, to families and friends attending suburban funerals, to persons seeking information on candidates in the local school board election.
Both banner and button ads are accepted, with advertisers either signing up on line, through the company, or through the Out2.com affiliate network as it becomes available.
