STEPHEN KING ISN'T THE ONLY NEW ENGLAND AUTHOR TO JOIN THE ELECTRONIC BOOK PUBLISHING EXPLOSION:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

July 1, 2000

STEPHEN KING ISN'T THE ONLY NEW ENGLAND AUTHOR TO JOIN THE ELECTRONIC BOOK PUBLISHING EXPLOSION:

Salem, New Hampshire mother of two, and children's e-book author, Tabatha Jean, has undoubtedly brought her writing into the future and placed it on screen--on computer screen to be exact.

Though still relatively new, awareness of electronic books progress daily and even respected Authors, such as Stephen King, have tested the publishing explosion that has given reading a fresh perspective.

If the electronic book concept is gradually redefining reading and bookstores, then certainly Tabatha Jean is on the right track. She chose submitting her books to E-Publishers over the traditional publishing medium because of the growing interest her own children had developed for books on CD-ROM. Tabatha states: "Children's e-books are like any other book. They're funny, adventurous, silly, touching, educational, wonderfully illustrated and some even animated. Best of all, these books are interactive excitement. If you have a reluctant reader, try offering a reading choice: paper or an electronic book. E-books aren't a paper replacement; they're a reading alternative. They give children, as well as adults, another reason to read."

Tabatha Jean's delightful and vividly illustrated e-book now available for young readers: "Keisha's Best Birthday Ever" released through Crossroads Publishing Company. She also has additional young reader books "A Trophy with Wheels" & "Happy Little Homemaker," being released through Crossroads Publishing and a humorous five book series, "Peter's Pepperoni Adventures" which will be released from Books OnScreen later this year.

Markets for electronic books include bookstores, software outlets, gift shops, and niche areas, in addition to the huge Internet audience.

Tabatha is available for interviews and welcomes your questions or comments.
