Memorial Fund Set Up for News Reporter

LOS ANGELES/MIDLAND, TX - - - Jennifer Marie Gutierrez, age 28, died July fourth in a one-person car accident in Midland, Texas. Gutierrez, working as a news reporter trainee at KWES TV, worked there for six months through the Minorities in Broadcasting Training Program.

Police are currently seeking the public's help on what caused this unlikely accident.

A Southern-California native, Gutierrez worked for ABC World News Tonight as freelance assignment desk and KABC TV Eyewitness News as an apprentice.

A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, July 11 in San Diego, CA. A memorial service is being held this Saturday, July 8, in Midland, TX.

A fund has been started in her name through KWES TV in order to help with
impending funeral expenses. For further information and to make a contribution
