At Least Blind Jury Has Heard Perfectly This Time

Francine Kay Triumphant in Pro Piano Recital Series 2000's 7th Season

55 International Artists Take Center Stage as Classical Pianists from
Around The Globe Participate in Pro Piano's "Piano Fest." 8 Finalists Chosen

Francine Kay Named Recitalist for the Pro Piano New York Recital Series 2000.

Seemingly incapable of playing even a single "ugly" note, Canadian Pianist
Francine Kay has been named "Recitalist" for The Pro Piano New York Recital
Series 2000.

The blind jury (standard procedure at The Pro Piano Auditions) was mesmerized
and awestruck by Miss Kay's vastly beautiful tonal structures and her
color-laden chordal balances that were resplendent with miraculous creative powers.

It is fair to say that the jurors dreaded the end of Miss Kay's audition, so wonderfully engaging and captivating was the musical trance she created.

In the seven years since the innovative and extremely unorthodox competition's inception, the blind jury has heard but two other pianists who demonstrated such musically startling profundity: Chitose Okashiro (1993,) and J.Y. Song (1994.) (All identifying information regarding participants is withheld from the jury, insuring that "only what they hear" from behind the screen impacts their decision making process.)

Miss Kay will appear at the Carnegie Recital Hall on November 7, 2000.
The blind jury (standard procedure at The Pro Piano Auditions) will of
course be in attendance at said recital. If the jury continues to be aptly impressed, Miss Kay will then be named "Pro Piano 2000 Artist of the Year," and will be signed to a recording contract with Pro Piano Records, the de facto home of classical piano recording.

Other finalists who appeared in the deciding round of auditions:

Bruno Peltre (France); Teresa Escandon (Cuba); Nicolas Bringuier (France);
Sang Mi Chung (Korea); Dmitri Shteinberg (Israel); Ory Shihor (Israel).

Pro Piano salutes Miss Francine Kay on her remarkqable pianistic talents and
salutes all the magnificent participants in the Pro Piano New York Recital
Series 2000.
