Tastygifts.com - In pursuit of local flavor.

Tastygifts.com launched its website today and is calling for additional suppliers of local and regional food products to join the site. "Our products are based on what grows and is produced in a particular region. Local flavors and traditions are what Tastygifts.com wants to offer its customers," says Scott Peveto, owner. "If you've lived in or visited a place and developed a favorite food or want to relive old memories from childhood, Tastygifts.com wants to be the site that helps you find these food items."Tastygifts.com currently has 16 suppliers offering more than a hundred products, ranging from Cajun Sauce Gift Sets to Washington state-harvested mushrooms and a comprehensive collection of regional and state cookbooks. There are several sections within the site that provide interesting facts and tid-bits about food.
"Flavor-ite Feature" (yes, it's spelled correctly) which focuses on a specific product's unique origins while "Food Focus" features articles on the owner's foodtravels, special food interests, community events, political rhetoric and whatever else comes up. "Books and Recipes" offers a service called Fare Answers where site visitors can submit specific food questions or recipes to the company's owner for individual attention. It also features the "Down-Home Recipe Search" that gives away over $35 worth of product each month for the best family or regional recipe.Tastygifts.com, almost three years in development, is a labor of love. The company was designed and developed by its owner and operator, Scott Peveto, who oversees all activity from a couple of computers in the back of his home in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. A graphic designer and aficianado of good down-home foods, Mr. Peveto is known for answering calls while on his back porch with his two hound dogs. "It's the epitome of a home-based business. I
love it". For additional information visit the website at or contact Scott Peveto, owner M-F 10am to 4pm PST at 1.877.606.7519 or scott@tastygifts.com.
