Announcing Launch of New Event to Help Electronics Manufacturers

Norwalk, CT, August 9, 2000 – The Electronics Group of Reed Exhibition Companies (REC) announces the launch of a new, technology based electronics event. EtroniX is designed to help electronics manufacturers improve efficiency and optimize output by providing them with solutions across the entire supply chain, in addition to their shop floor.
EtroniX will take place February 25 – March 1, 2001 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA and will initially feature five industry related events under one roof. The five events include:
- dEsign Expo – Complete electronics design tools and services.
- e/manufacturing expo (e/mfg) -- IT and e-commerce products and services for
supply chain management.
- AP International -- advanced packaging and wafer level technologies.
- EvaluTech -- test and inspection equipment, instruments, software and supplies
for process evaluation.
- NEPCON Production & Support -- equipment, tools and supplies for the electronics production process including Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), as well as components, materials and products that support the manufacturing.
The EtroniX conference program and show floor are organized to mirror the flow of technology in the electronics manufacturing industry. Each show within EtroniX will be vertically marketed to the relevant audience served by the event.

Geared to focus on the issues effecting tomorrows electronics marketplace, EtroniX is designed to evolve as the industry does and continue to focus on the most important issues facing the electronics industry. There are already plans to expand the event to incorporate developing sectors in 2002 .
