Sundancer's West Proves Useful In The Classroom
Classroom teachers are discovering Sundancer's West a useful tool in the classroom. One teacher of fifth graders is using material from the on-line magazine to enhance the study, The Westward Expansion.
"I opened up your magazine in my classroom and the kids loved it," he wrote.
Other students have used material from the magazine as research for projects and papers on The West. Sundancer's West, an ever-expanding on-line publication contains articles on western legends, modern cowboys and cowgirls, ranches that serve as Bed & Breakfasts, and information on Native Americans. New articles are added each month, while previous ones stay on indefinitely, giving unlimited access to the research needed by classrooms and students.
"From The Horse's Mouth" a regular, free newsletter brings new and updated information to subscribers. To subscribe, send an e-mail with your own e-mail address and the word's "subscribe" on the subject line.
Sundancer's West on-line magazine can be found on the web site by the same name: http:www.sundancerswest.com. Future additions to the site include western literature and artists.
