Scooting onto the Scene - Skuta Rolls and Rules

Delta Cylce unveils sporty new scooter

DATELINE: Foxboro, MA, Issued September 8, 2000…
From Manhattan to Hollywood, the hottest trend in outdoor recreation is the collapsible scooter. Just remember to protect those movie star good looks a helmet, wrist
guards and knee and elbow pads.

Meeting this growing demand and hitting the ground gliding is the sporty new Skuta from Delta BikesCycle, a division of Todson. The gleaming all aluminum Skuta features a clean, elegant design which includes clear, high-density wheels and handgrips. The Skuta also offers one of the first front suspension options.

The Skuta retails for $100 and $120 for models with front suspension. Also available is a nifty nylon travel bag with shoulder strap which retails for $19.00. The Skuta is available at fine bike and outdoor stores across the country and directly at the company's website of www.skuta4one.com.

One of the unique design elements is that the collapsible unit is bolter together for greater durability and better handling. Off brands are primarily welded or riveted together. The Skuta also includes a securing mechanism to stabilize the telescoping handlebar, thus making the unit safer. Test marketing with bicycle shops across the United States has revealed that the Skuta tracks and handles better due to the precision angle of the headtube.

The Skuta, which weighs in light and sturdy at 7 pounds, features a platform of 16", wheel to wheel length of 22 ½" and is 2" off the ground. The headtube is 38" off the ground allowing one size to fit all.

Glide and ride. In contrast to roller blading and skateboarding, zipping about on a scooter requires minimal practice and agility. Scooters are particularly popular in urban areas and college campuses, but are become more prevalent anywhere there is flat land.

From bike racks to brake pads, Delta Cycle is an innovative company. Delta Cycle products are sold in fine bike and outdoor stores across the country. For additional information, or to order the Skuta, visit www.skuta4one.com, or call (800) 474-6615.
