New Mexico Youth Ranch Changing Lives

In all of our information we tell you,"our youth are in a war and they are losing. Our youth are becoming drug addicts, alcoholics, gang members, and killers because they have lost hope. Yet, some of these youth are giving us the opportunity to help them. It is our responsibility as responsible adults to provide them with positive choices that will give them a future. They are hungry for the right kind of attention, for boundries that help define who they are, and activities that will unlock who they will become. If we fail to provide safe places for our youth to receive help, life skills, education, guidance, counseling, and lots of love, there is nothing left to our youth but "street wise" training. We know that the street won't fail to provide their kind of help, their kind of education, and their kind of counseling, resulting in teen-pregnancy, addiction, criminalactivity, or death.

It is the goal of the Lazy JD Youth Ranch to meet the needs of these youth, trough programs dsigned to build self esteem; to give these youth a sense of helping and belonging; to be working toward the common goal of letting our communities know that to lose one more teenager to hopelessness is unacceptable.
