At the Alpha 15 Gala held in the Grand Ballroom of the Sheraton, New Orleans the Fashion Group International awarded the FGI Alpha Award to Anne Timmons-Harris for her Collection of Jewelry. The Alpha Award for Jewelry Design with Precious Stones went to Esmeralda", an elegant emerald bead necklace with crystal accents and diamond pendant. Anne also won the Alpha Award for Fashion Training/Education with her article Freshwater Pearl Bridal Set" published in the August 2000 issue of Lapidary Journal. Anne received the Silver Award for Design of a Single Accessory for Four Seasons", a six strand necklace of 18kt gold tube beads, citrine, peridot, and tourmaline, with 24kt gold foil and glass beads. Anne markets her unique jewelry designs on the Internet.
Last year Anne and her husband, Wesley Harris won the Alpha Award for Co-Ordinated Fashion Campaign for their website and supporting brochures and newspaper ads. She also won a Bronze Award for Design of a Single Accessory for a three-strand lariat of black freshwater pearls, accented with gold and crystal beads.
In 1997, Anne received her first Alpha Award for Design of a Single Accessory for a crystal and glass rosary.
