This Year's Latest and Hottest Trends For Corporate Holiday Celebrations, Announced by Conjure Marketing & Event Design

New York, NY, September 19, 2000–
The newest battle in the corporate war zone is the fight to secure the loyalties of top employees. Lavish perks, including everything from dry cleaning pick-up to copious amounts of stock options, have become the accepted bartering tools for loyalty in corporate America.

Conjure Marketing & Event Design, specializing in corporate and private event design, today announces this trend will continue into corporate holiday celebrations.

According to Antonia Calzetti, co-owner of Conjure, this year's hottest new party trends for the holiday season will be interoffice celebrations. Whether an entire week of in-office feasting, or a single day of round-the clock relaxation perks, this new trend offers employers a company-centric way to give back to their employees.

"This year, corporations are looking for innovative holiday celebration ideas that will help to strengthen the bond between employer and employee, as well as celebrate," says Calzetti. "From caterers to motivational speakers, professionals are willing to bring their services into the office during the business day."

Company Image Day

With the sudden explosion of dot.com companies, 'twenty something' business people don't have the time to think about planning holiday parties. This year, young executives can choose a company overhaul rather than planning a traditional company party.

Transforming an entire office staff can be accomplished in just one day. Hair and make-up stylists, as well as wardrobe consultants can offer speedy personalized makeovers for each employee. By outfitting the entire staff with a new look, the benefits to this unique type of celebration last much longer than a few cocktails!

Additionally, hiring motivational or business etiquette speakers can boost the moral and manners of the office staff. "We've hosted etiquette speakers in the past. This year we are looking forward to a five course in-house dining seminar, to mix business and pleasure," says Jay Collins of JWC Consulting.

For some fun, psychics can offer the final word on next year's business forecast for each employee. Tarot, palm, and aura readers, as well as numerologists are increasingly popular as 'corporate guides' in the new economy.

Another hot trend is creating 'Real World' style video documentary of daily life within the company. Employers can set up a 'confessional' video booth for employees, and edit the material for a holiday gift.

Day of Feasting

Bringing the holiday feast into the office is another alternative to the traditional company party. For an entire working day, employees are treated like pampered celebrities. By bringing in culinary professionals, service staff, and a mobile kitchen, any office can be transformed into a Dionysian feast.

Other perks for employees can include bringing in a wine merchant to set up a traditional wine tasting. "My office routinely does in-house wine tastings," says Steve Sless of PrimeRetail Inc. "Entertaining clients is a big part of my industry. Wine tastings are a great way to show my employees that this is something they should know."

If smoking is an option for your office, a cigar sommelier can offer and explain a variety of rare cigars. Or perhaps rent the exotic 'hookah pipe', a traditional Egyptian after-dinner digestive water pipe.

Relaxation Day

Offering hard working employees a time to relax is a good way to rejuvenate them. Hiring massage therapists is just the beginning of 'relaxation day'.

A Feng Shui office makeover is another way to make the office environment more harmonious. "There is more to Feng Shui than simple aesthetic or cosmetic remodeling of space," says Feng Shui Auditor Michael Schnippering, founder of Feng Shui at Work. "The heart of Feng Shui is to balance the flow of energy in your immediate surroundings. This introduction of positive energy promotes harmony, happiness and prosperity. We can find out the best floor plan and furniture arrangement for an office, based on the mathematical Feng Shui directives."

Also, ergonomic professionals can outfit each employee with ergonomically correct chairs, phones, keyboards, even lighting. The benefits of these unique types of 'celebration' are manifold, and serve as long-lasting and company-centric options to celebrate the holiday season.
