Vectris Completes Initial Wisconsin Service Launch

AUSTIN, Texas – September 27, 2000 – Vectris Communications, a leading regional provider of Internet and data networking solutions, today has launched high-speed Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) and Internet services in the Wisconsin cities of Beloit, De Pere, Fond du Lac, Janesville, Kenosha, Neenah, Oshkosh, Racine, Sheboygan and Stevens Point.

Vectris is implementing an aggressive rollout schedule to serve secondary markets throughout the central United States," said Carey Balzer, President and CEO of Vectris. By focusing on cities with populations under one million, Vectris provides local businesses high-speed DSL and Internet solutions that level the competitive playing field in the digital economy," said Balzer. Businesses in these cities can now access the Internet and enterprise networks at speeds up to 50 times faster than dial-up services. This enables these businesses to increase productivity, reduce costs and improve customer service."

Vectris service is now available in 123 cities across nine states: Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas and Wisconsin. By year-end 2000, the Vectris network will add cities in Michigan and will serve over 165 secondary markets in ten states.
Vectris offers services direct to businesses and through authorized distribution partners, Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and other communications carriers.
