    IRVINE, Calif., June 19, 2000—Comet Labs, Inc., building on its European reputation as a "Mac friendly" computer networking products company, has introduced in the Americas its Comet Family of state-of-the-art LAN and WAN adapters, routers, switches, hubs and more for the Apple Macintosh market. The products are designed to "make networking simple" in Mac environments, and Comet Labs offers technologies and solutions "where Ethernet meets the Internet."

    The company markets its Mac products to end users through its U.S. Reseller Business Partnering Program for independent resellers, VARs, systems integrators and retailers. Current Mac market resellers include Macinstein, Mac Gurus, Mac-O-Rama, Mac Select, Mac Components Engineered, Power On, Mac ResQ, Mega Watts and other prominent "Mac-centric" organizations.

    The company's N258T adapter operates at 10/100 Mbps, is PCMCIA 2.1-compliant, features 16-bit architecture with a 32KB buffer, and includes one RJ45 connector. Mac drivers support Mac OS 7.6 through 9.0. The USMSRP is $129.00.

    The N158CT adapter operates at 10 Mbps, is PCMCIA 2.1-compliant, and features a 16KB buffer and includes one RJ45 connector and one BNC connector. Mac drivers support Mac OS 7.6 through 9.0. The USMSRP is $89.00.
