(PRWEB) January 27, 2001
(Orem, UT) Â January 25, 2001 Â Q Comm International, Inc. (OTC BB: QCCM), a prepaid telecom products and information services company, announced Thursday that its CEO, Paul Hickey, just returned from Miami, Florida where he spoke on the CompanyÂs point-of-sale activation solution at the Prepaid Wireless Services conference.
The conference was hosted by the Institute for International Research and was attended by prepaid wireless industry professionals from around the world. In addition to Q Comm, other major companies that made presentations include VoiceStream, Ericsson, Boston Communications Group, SBC, The Strategis Group, Rogers AT&T, and Diax Switzerland.
During his presentation, Mr. Hickey demonstrated how Q CommÂs Qxpress point-of-sale activation terminal works and explained the solutions that it offers to retailers, agents, and carriers in the electronic delivery of prepaid wireless products and services.
Commenting on the conference, Mr. Hickey said, Âthe conference confirmed our belief that the prepaid wireless industry is set to explode in the U.S. with new estimates of more than 700 percent growth in the next four years. Partly because of these growth pressures, those in attendance expressed great interest in Qxpress as it enables prepaid wireless carriers and agents to rapidly expand with reduced costs and increased reporting and controls. I was pleased with the level of enthusiasm expressed by those in attendance and expect good things to come from this conference.Â
