American University Professor Wins Moondance Int'l Film Festival Screenplay Award

Los Angeles, CA -- February 1, 2001-- TeleActive Communications, an independent production company based in Los Angeles, announces that Buenos Aires," a feature-film project it is developing, has won the Columbine Award for Best Screenplay at the 2001 Moondance International Film Festival, which took place from January 19-21 in Boulder, Colorado.

The Moondance International Film Festival's objective is to promote and encourage women screenwriters, playwrights, short-story writers and women who make independent films.

"Buenos Aires," written by Olga Elaine Rojer, PhD, who teaches at American University in Washington DC, is highly reminiscent of Casablanca" and based, in part, on the plight of the Jewish and political refugees of Hitlers Germany in Argentina.

The screenplay has garnered interest from some the best known names in Hollywood as a result of Ms. Rojer winning the competition.
