Post Production Facility, Cutting Vision hires New Media Developer in expansion of services

With an expansion of services, the New York based post-production facility, Cutting Vision, has recently welcomed Irene Lee as New Media Developer!

Working in a highly creative and technical capacity, Irene is using Sonic Creator software for authoring DVD projects. On her first day she got right to work by working with artist, Jeff Spangler, and President/Creative Director, Jeff Beckerman, on the design of Cutting Visions own DVD, which features elaborate motion menus and advanced interactivity. While working on the DVD, Irene revealed that there is an extensive trial and error process leading to many stages of troubleshooting. She explained that, creating an interactive DVD relies on careful consideration of the different types of DVD systems and players, as well as the all the different possibilities of user interaction with programming. The challenge is to factor in these considerations and create the most accurate responses without unexpected errors." In addition to DVD authoring, Irene is also working with Flash in designing and developing websites for clients. Currently, she is creating a playful interactive website filled with lively animation for one of Cutting Visions clients.. But Irene recognizes as with our DVDs, all our web projects have a distinct style because we combine all the house resources and talents, including graphic designers, sound designers and editors. The results are really a full production that demonstrates what Cutting Vision can do."

Having studied programming and design, Irene is truly enthusiastic about the challenges the job will bring. She believes that because all the new interactive tools for communication are in an emerging field, there is still a lot of room for innovation and creativity." Her dedication to new media is apparent in her personal work philosophy as she states, It is essential to keep informed about the latest things that are out there, because new technology is starting to change the ways we conceptualize media. I want to use this new technology to not only create something that is more efficient, effective and visually appealing, but also to continue introducing new ways for us to use and interact with media. There is truly a revolution going on here that is drastically changing traditional perceptions of communication. I like to consider myself right at the front lines of this revolution." Irenes dedication and intuitiveness leave her extremely confident and optimistic about her new position as the New Media Developer.
