Midsize Enterprise Summit Attendees Honor Technology Vendors

STAMFORD, Conn., February 28, 2001 -- Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT and ITB) announced today that senior-level IT executives selected and honored technology vendors AMD and Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS) as winners of the Midsize Enterprise Innovation Awards. Nominees and winners were chosen based on confidential ballots completed by attendees at Gartners Midsize Enterprise Summit/East, February 21-23 in Tampa Bay, Florida. The Central event is scheduled for September 19-21, 2001 in Dallas, Texas.    

Citrix received the Midsize Enterprise Innovation Award for Excellence in Technology for the Citrix MetaFrame XPÔ for Windows and Citrix NFuseÔ 1.5 application portal software. IT executives selected vendors in this category based on excellence in technological development and application. Emphasis was placed on product and service features, the ability to work with existing standards, and the degree to which products and services contribute to the development of future midsize enterprise solutions. Nominees for the Excellence in Technology Award included Citrix, ANTARA.net, and Iomega.

The Midsize Enterprise Innovation Award for Best of Show was presented to AMD for a second time. Last month, AMD won Best of Show at Midsize Enterprise Summit/West in San Francisco. The award was judged on the creative design and delivery of the companys message with emphasis placed on the clarity, depth and cohesiveness of the companys presentation throughout the event. AMD partnered with Micronpc.com during both Summits to highlight AMD processor-based business solutions to the midsize enterprise community.
