SCI Technologies Launches Interactive Website

SCI Technologies, Inc., launched a new, interactive website on January 29. The site can be found at http://www.scitechnologies.com/, where the company has had an online presence since 1996.

The enhanced, expanded site features a wealth of information designed to assist potential users of the LabWorks Learning System, a computer-based science laboratory interface that SCI Technologies has produced since the company was founded more than a decade ago.

Designed for use in secondary- and college-level science labs, LabWorks greatly decreases the amount of time that students must spend collecting data during a lab. Students are then able to focus their energies on data analysis and experiment design. This change in emphasis reflects and is supported by a key ideological shift associated with recent science education reform.

The website is divided into two general areas -- About LabWorks" and Customer Service" -- each subdivided into several topic-specific sections. About LabWorks" provides:
-- background information about the LabWorks Learning System and its many benefits in the science classroom,
-- a complete product catalog, featuring two different computer interface models, numerous sensors and probes for use in conducting experiments, and PC- and Mac-compatible software,
-- details about the LabWorks VIP program,
-- a schedule of workshops and conferences that educators can attend to receive personalized instruction in the use of LabWorks (an online registration form is also included), and
-- a list of sample experiments that can be easily integrated into science curricula.

The Customer Service" area features complete contact information for both SCI Technologies sales staff and technical support, a list of Frequently Asked Questions and their answers, details about ordering LabWorks and the LabWorks warranty.

A special innovation included in the Customer Service" area is an online quoting feature previously unavailable on the SCI Technologies website. This handy tool enables visitors to obtain immediate pricing details for different LabWorks system configurations.

Visitors to the website can also read about the latest introductions to the LabWorks product line and sign up to receive a free newsletter about new offerings and related lab tips.
