BOATHOUSE SPORTS APPAREL PROTECTS PLAYERS AND COACHES FROM EXTREME CONDITIONS

XFL Coaches Give High Marks to Gore-Tex® Jackets

PHILADELPHIA, March 2, 2001-The XFL got a dose of extreme weather last weekend in Chicago and Los Angeles, where coaches and players had to endure wind, rain, and cold temperatures. How bad was the weather? Even XFL cheerleaders sought refuge in parkas and raingear.

According to XFL coaches in their post-game analysis, one of the top performers was Boathouse Sports, which provides sideline apparel to XFL teams.

"Several coaches called the XFL offices to tell them how our Gore-Tex® apparel kept them 100 percent dry and asked if they could get more of our jackets," said John Strotbeck, president and CEO of Boathouse Sports. "Gore-Tex fabric is the most effective weatherproofing system ever offered to athletes. The jackets actually have a seam-sealed barrier that locks out wind and rain, but allows moisture to escape so you stay dry and comfortable. Boathouse is proud to be one of the only manufactures licensed to make custom Gore-Tex outerwear."

Boathouse Sports (www.boathouse.com) is a premium manufacturer of custom athletic outerwear apparel for professional, collegiate, and high school teams. Boathouse, whose clients include Reebok, Adidas, Puma, and the XFL, is the official outerwear supplier of the National Lacrosse Leagues Philadelphia Wings.
