OBOE - EDI/XML Translator Improves Run time Speed

Raleigh, NC - March 20, 2001 - American Coders, Limited announces release 2.3.0 of its product Open Business Objects For EDI (OBOE). OBOE translates between several Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) document formats and EDI/XML files. This release provides new classes that reduce the packages translator speed. OBOE is targeted at legacy EDI users who want to integrate their systems with the Internet quickly and easily using standards-based technology to reach their small to medium size business partners.

The release contains the following change to package's classes and methods.

Introduced two new classes TemplateTransactionSet and TemplateTables used to control multiple transaction sets in memory thereby improving load time for objects. Run time improvements will be noticed by applications acting as servers and applications parsing multiple transactions.

Indoff Inc., a St. Louis based Material Handling Equipment and Office Interiors reseller, recently beta tested the 2.3.0 release. Colin Faulkingham, an Indoff Sr. Programmer Analyst, says, "The latest release of the OBOE product has dramatically decreased our EDI processing time and is a must have tool enabling us to streamline our data transformations from EDI to XML." He goes on to say, "Because OBOE is built on an object-oriented design, we were able to simply replace the OBOE package jar file."
