Singapore, 22nd March 2001 -- FSDF is an exciting new initiative from the Monetary Authority of Singapore to encourage Singapore based financial institutions to develop the skills and capabilities of their executives in key financial areas of expertise.
The benefits of this initiative are all encompassing. Not only will this result in the recognition of the enormous benefits of maintaining a well trained work force, through increased productivity and efficiency but also the costs of such training can be offset against the Financial Sector Development Fund. Under this scheme the FSDF will support up to 80% of course fees per delegate, or up to S$2000, whichever is the lower. The level of support given to each institution will be subject to a cap on the overall FSDF grants that each institution may receive in each financial year. The decision to approve a course is taken on the basis of relevance to the Singapore financial market, reputation and track record of the training provider.
One of the worlds best known total solution financial training providers, FT New York Institute of Finance, part of the Pearson Plc group of companies, was informed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) that the following courses have been approved for the FSDF.
Advanced bond mathematics & analytics
Hedging techniques for corporate finance
Derivative risk management
Currency & interest rate options
Advanced financial statement analysis.
