MediConnect.net Record Retrieval Chosen to Integrate with WinConnect and WinRisk Underwriting Software

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah and WAYNE, Pa. -- March 26, 2001 -- MediConnect.net, Inc. a leading online provider of record retrieval, today announced a strategic partnership with Data Executives International (DEI) to provide DEI customers with a dynamic, secure, and convenient method for ordering and retrieving client medical records and attending physicians statements (APSs) through the Internet. Todays announcement was made at LOMAs 2001 Systems Forum event in Las Vegas (booth #401 and #304).

Underwriters and insurers that use DEIs WinConnect and WinRisk life insurance underwriting software are now able to request and receive APSs electronically from MediConnect.net, which reduces time delays in the underwriting process, as well as, gives real-time management and online status updates for each record request.
As part of the partnership, MediConnect.net has integrated an application program interface (API) into DEIs software products optimizing the record retrieval process. The interface automatically associates policyholder information and eliminates the need for insurance companies to re-key information when requesting medical records.
