KatCall Opens Its Doors To Indie Musicians
The KatCall website has been expanded to include a new community for Independent Musicians which will officially launch on April 1, 2001. The community was formed to provide a place for Musicians to network, share ideas, and help one another.
Some of the key features are:
A Press and Publicity Center, a Copyright Center and an Indie Musicians Resources Center. Each center provides valuable resources and information on each area.
The community provides many interactive features such as access to a private forum, a voting booth where members feedback and ideas are posted and voted upon, and access to a Lounge area which is shared with Music Industry Professionals and the Indie Musicians Community.
All Indie Musician Community Members will have two listings: one in the public community area where visitors to KatCall can listen to sound samples and purchase Cds directly from the musicians, and one in the Professionals Community where the the Indie Musicians will have an online Press Kit, which includes a bio, discography, sound samples, contact/booking information and more.
KatCall was created in 1999 by K. Brackley, a freelance writer, and part time musician. "I wanted to make a difference and provide a venue where musicians could learn from each other and share ideas. What makes the community unique is the input from the members; they actually help shape the communities to fit what they need and want."
