In late 2000, Bisco Incorporated partnered with Azavar Technologies to enhance their existing Web presence with a robust eCommerce application. Upon initial strategy development, Azavar determined a need to integrate Biscos back-end enterprise information and data warehousing infrastructure with the requested front-end eCommerce capabilities.

With distributed network architecture, tiered databases and a robust Web presence, Azavar Technologies created a mechanism, using Microsoft enterprise technologies, that communicates with BPCS via an API developed in C++ by SSA GT. This platform runs BPCS and Informix in a UNIX environment on an HP 9000 Enterprise server, thus safeguarding Biscos existing information infrastructure and simultaneously streamlining business operations with a Web-based application. The development provides a real-time means of communication between Biscos Web presence and its inventory, accounting and customer data information systems.
