Fort Lauderdale, FL (April 25, 2001) - The one gift mothers want most this Mothers Day is time to themselves, according to a survey on BlueSuitMom.com, a Web site for executive working mothers. The online survey asked moms the question, What would you like most for Mothers Day this year?" Over 40 percent of the 500 respondents answered, Time for myself" to the question.
It probably comes as no surprise that busy, working mothers would appreciate a little time for themselves over breakfast in bed," comments Maria Bailey, President of BlueSuitMom.com and mother of four, but the fact that it is four times more desirable than jewelry speaks to the time management challenges of balancing work and family."
According to the survey, time alone was followed by handmade gift from my child (27%), breakfast in bed (13%) and jewelry (10%). Candy or flowers ranked lowest on the list of desired gifts (7%).
