FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

67-Year-old Sweepstakes Winner at PhoneHog.com Illustrates Changing Demographics of the Internet

Boca Raton, FL, April 27 - "Being on the Internet is a great thing so long as you don't let it take over your whole life," says Greta Shore of Philadelphia. This sentiment might sound like it's coming from a 30-something cubicle worker who sees colleagues obsessed with shopping online and constantly checking their fantasy football scores and stock portfolios. But Greta Shore, who was announced today as the winner of PhoneHog.com's $5,000 cash online sweepstakes, is 67 and the Internet enthusiast she has in mind is her husband Irving, 73.

"He's online about five hours a day," she says, "learning languages, entering sweepstakes, looking up movie reviews, checking travel fares and listening to music. For me, the best part is staying in touch with friends and family when they're far away or when we travel."

From his research into online sweepstakes offers, Irving introduced Greta to PhoneHog.com, a site that enables consumers to earn free long-distance time by receiving advertising and checking out special offers. No purchase is necessary, and the free calls are valid for calls anywhere in the world, from any phone, without switching long-distance companies. "I was familiar with the idea of earning free calls by listening to ads first on the phone. PhoneHog.com is more convenient because there are no ads when you make the call," she says.

"If you're willing to check out ads, PhoneHog is good," she adds. "In fact, I like finding out what's out there." Greta Shore uses the free phone time she earns from the site for calls to relatives and for toll calls within Pennsylvania. She's not sure yet how she'll spend her sweepstakes prize -- perhaps on travel.

Most of Greta and Irving Shore's friends in their age bracket are online now, Greta says, something that has built gradually over the last five years. Chances are, her winnings will help convince the laggards that the Internet can be more than a way to pass time. "I already loved PhoneHog," she says, "but after winning $5,000 cash I love it even more!"
