Lisa Jebb Has Earned A Reputation as Party Planner for Fortune 500 Clientele

Imagine passing through a gigantic coral entryway into an undersea ballroom flanked by mermaids and seaweed vines while exotic fish float by and a band plays your favorite songs. In Cancun, guests will leave the scuba gear behind on Tuesday, June 12, when they dive in to an amazing corporate party produced by ME Productions and coordinated by its Vice President of Sales, Lisa Jebb.

Only someone with years of experience in planning extravagant events can pull off this kind of function. But, for Jebb, it is part of the territory of event production that she deals with daily. "Each day is unique," says Jebb. "One day I'm in Cancun hosting an Under The Sea gala for 600 guests, then three days later, I'll be in San Francisco seeing to the details of a conference with over 1,000 attendees on board an historical aircraft carrier."

As Vice President of Sales, Jebb is often tasked with finding fun, unique, or off-the-beaten path venues for her clients' events. To do so, Jebb personally interacts with current and potential ME clients, and oversees every detail of each event. "I coordinate every little thing to make sure it all ties together. The client doesn't see the effort, but I'll follow-up with production, floral, venues, entertainment, transportation, and other ME divisions to ensure that each client is totally satisfied with the end result," says Jebb.

"I am a service person, not a sales person," adds Jebb, who rose from company receptionist to corporate Vice President of Sales. Today, Jebb's track record is underscored by an over 80 percent repeat customer rate. She heads up multi-million dollar programs and travels throughout the world looking for over-the-top venues, including such things as an authentic Spanish Monastery and a Captain's Castle.

For example, Jebb not only had to communicate her vision of a conference on board an aircraft carrier to her then-potential client, but also had to consider the logistics of moving over 1,000 people to and from the site.

Ferries were arranged for transportation across the San Francisco Bay as well as motorcoaches to move people throughout the city from their hotels to dockside and then back again. Once on board the USS Hornet, guests will find special features including a flight simulator, docent guides, and headline entertainment.

But, of all the thousands of events she has handled, Jebb remains proudest of a team building event that resulted in a partnership with local nonprofits. "In one day, we refurbished six homes for children and a day care center. It was one of the most gratifying days of my entire career."
