Conduit Software introduces Web-based DA to the Americas. Web-Da has been designed so as to allow the provision of both white pages and category search services through a web based medium to the majority of existing DA database systems.

CONDUIT SOFTWARE INTRODUCES WEB-BASED DA TO THE AMERICAS.

Conduit Software (www.conduitsoftware.com <http://www.conduitsoftware.com>) announces the US launch of its Web-based Directory Assistance platform, Web-DA. Web-DA has been designed so as to allow the provision of both white page and category search services through a web based medium to the majority of existing DA database systems. The solution has already been launched within Europe and currently supports the www.11850.ie <http://www.11850.ie> search site for the 11850 operator services company in Ireland (www.conduit.ie <http://www.conduit.ie>).

Paul Coghlan further commented We have concentrated on integration with multiple back end systems and have therefore removed the limitations often inherent in solutions supporting a single proprietary protocol. To further open up access we will be integrating our XML technology thereby providing a standard XML interface to DA. We are also working aggressively at the integration of additional enhanced information services through the platform and I hope to make further announcements in the coming months."

Web-DA allows service providers to allow DA searching for residential users or, through the use of password-protected accounts, corporate users for additional revenue.
