Coolio, No Authority Headline Celebrity Event
Hollywood Knights Celebrity Basketball Team Season Wrap Party 2001
(Los Angeles, CA May 21, 2001) Coolio and No Authority are among the artists set to perform at the Hollywood Knights Celebrity Basketball Team Season Wrap Party being held at The Key Club in West Hollywood on June 8, 2001 at 7pm. Hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Power 106 deejays Tha' Goodfellas, proceeds from this event will benefit Hollygrove Orphanage, a home for abused and neglected children founded in 1880. The musical lineup also includes performances by Nobodys Angel, David Nicoll, REIGN, and The Nade.
The Hollywood Knights Celebrity Basketball Team consists of today's hottest young celebrities including recording stars such as Youngstown, No Authority, David Nicoll, & Nobodys Angel, soap hunks Jesse Metcalfe, James Hyde and Bruce Hall (Passions), Kyle Lowder, Bryan Dattilo and Jason Cook (Days of Our Lives), Ron Lester and Bryce Johnson (Popular), Alex Solowitz (MTvs 2Ge+ther), Joshua Morrow (Y&Restless), Eddie Cibrian (Third Watch), Wesley Jonathan & Dion Basco (City Guys), Teck (MTV), Michael Bergin (Baywatch), and rap artist Coolio.
Included in the evening's festivities will be an awards ceremony hosted by Knights C.E.O. Michael Mirisch. Awards will be given to participants of the 2000-2001 season as well as special awards honoring Hollywood Knights founder David Mirisch and current owner Michael Mirisch.
Founded in 1978 by world-renowned celebrity publicist and events promoter David Mirisch, The Hollywood Knights Celebrity Basketball Team has raised over a $1,000,000 in charitable funds for Southern California schools and various other organizations. Former Knights have included stars such as Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Woody Harrelson, Arsenio Hall, Rob Estes, Casper Van Dien, Jonathan Silverman, Corey Feldman, Tone Loc, Brian Austin Green, Ian Ziering, Josie Bisset, Angelica Bridges, Soleil Moon Frye, Patrick Muldoon, and David Arquette among others.
This star-studded event is a celebration of a twenty-three year tradition of excellence in celebrity fundraising and community service.
