Q COMMS SALES GROWTH TURNS HEADS

Q COMMS SALES GROWTH TURNS HEADS

(PRWEB) May 26, 2001 -- May 24, 2001 -- Q Comm International, Inc. (OTC BB: QCCM), a prepaid wireless technology and information services company, announced Thursday that its continued progress has led to greater notoriety in the prepaid wireless arena.

Theres no question, that since our April 17th release stating first quarter sales in excess of $1.8 million, weve received a lot more attention from various media and others in our industry," said Paul Hickey, Q Comm International chief executive officer. When your first quarter sales beat the previous years total, heads turn and people wonder whats going on.

In addition to the increased attention were getting from our robust sales growth, we continue to take proactive steps in building Q Comms brand and image as a frontrunner in prepaid wireless replenishment technology. For example, among others that weve recently received, weve just accepted an invitation to speak at IBCs Mobile Pricing 2001 conference in London, England this September. At the conference, Steve Flaherty, Q Comms president, will speak on carrier pricing strategies that incentivize retail migration to electronic point-of-sale replenishment systems.

In addition to our recently-completed presentation at the ECTA conference in Barcelona, speaking at IBCs event in London will help us build awareness among European carriers and resellers as we prepare to enter some of their markets.

Here in the U.S. we only get a glimpse of whats happening around the world where prepaid wireless is much more established. In Europe, for example, already 50 percent of the more than 200 million wireless phone subscribers prepay their service. In many of their countries, about 80 percent of new subscribers choose prepaid over traditional, postpaid wireless services. And the vast majority of their prepaid wireless replenishment is occurring through retail. This is spurring many of their carriers, resellers and retailers to search for an electronic replenishment system like ours to improve the sales process.

Even though prepaid wireless was only introduced in 1996, and not until 1998 for many countries, it already accounts for more than 36 percent of the global wireless market and some believe it will account for 60 percent of the more than 1 billion wireless phone subscribers forecast by 2003. We feel that our electronic replenishment solution places us on the crest of this very powerful wave.

Our growing success is also contributing to greater press coverage. Because of recent accomplishments, growth and innovation, we were selected as one of just four companies profiled in Utah Business Magazines annual edition of the Top 100 Public Companies in Utah. The article, published in their May issue, highlights our rapid growth and innovative products. It also already ranks us as the 65th largest public company in the state based on sales volume for last year. Were expecting to move up a few notches in next years issue.

On top of other coverage, we also continue to publish at least one prepaid wireless article per month in a major industry publication.

I like the direction were going and Im excited about what I see on the horizon," said Hickey. We continue to enhance our products, add strong sales partners, and build our distribution channel. In the future well be able to funnel additional products through our established sales network to boost margins and profitability."
