In the interview, Sounni de Fontenay described Tag It's vision. "...we have focused on converging the synergies between our publishing, syndication and consulting business, thus far largely kept separate. This convergence is what we are calling e-publishing and allows us to leverage our credibility as a media player, relationships and services under syndication and analytical resources through consulting."
"Syndicating content to a global audience, on the other hand, presents numerous challenges," followed Eric de Fontenay. "It should be noted that a good proportion of European sites have a significant amount of English content and are looking to expand this aggressively... this will always be true, especially for B2B content where the sites have every incentive to leverage the same content among largely English-speaking EU and US professionals."
The "de Fontenay Brothers" were also cited for their extensive involvement in the music industry by Indie-Music.com. Eric & Sounni de Fontenay were together named as one of "15 People You Should Know in The Biz" by Suzanne Glass, Indie-Music.com founder & president. Herself an industry-veteran, Suzanne Glass described the group of people as "15 people who are dedicated indies, who have good attitudes and ethics. Chosen by me, based on my personal experience of who has been helpful and memorable to me." Other music professionals cited in the top 15 list include Derek Sivers (CD Baby), Carolyn Ballen (Indie Music Forum) and Jenny Toomey (Coalition for the Future of Music), among others.
