American Cart and Harness was started by Rebecca Moran out of a demand for an inexpensive safe training and pleasure cart.

Rebecca Moran grew up around Horses and Carriages,
So it was natural for her to want to drive her own
Horse and do it in comfort and safely.

The Pleasure cart was born it is a very attractive Cart, lightweight, easy to get in and out of. It is a way the whole family can enjoy one horse because it seats up to 3 adults and can easily be hauled in the back of a pick up.

Rebecca Moran owns American Cart and Harness a company that sells all types of equipment for the equestrian that wants to start driving.

Since mini horses are such fun to drive Rebecca has a whole line of products for the miniature horse. The Pleasure Cart comes in mini, pony, cob, llama and horse sizes. When training a horse to pull a cart you want to have a quiet animal to start with and make sure you have help before you hitch up a cart. The harness must fit the animal right, then you start ground driving the horse for at least 1 month before you ever hitch a cart to a horse. When you are ready to hitch the cart to the horse you must have some one help you, do not do this alone. If the horse acts nervous when first hitched then you have not done your ground work.
