Wireless Credit Card Processing for Under $500.00. AIRCHARGE Announces New Revolution NP Model for Atomic ecomPort Gateway.

Wireless processing of swiped credit card transactions for under $500.00 is now a reality. A new credit card processing system, the Revolution NP, was released today by World Products Inc., AIRCHARGE Division.

The Revolution NP system allows merchants to process credit card transactions using a Palm VIIx that is attached to a cradle/credit card reader unit. The software, developed by World Products, Inc., utilizes the Atomic ecomPort gateway for transaction processing. The software that mates the two units allows a merchant to swipe and authorize a credit card via the Palm.net wireless service. The ability to do a card swipe transaction reduces the fees normally paid for mobile credit card acceptance. The unique feature of this system is the use of the underlying Palm operating system that allows the Revolution NP system to just be another add-on component to the Palm VIIx.

The Atomic ecomPort service provides connectivity to the leading credit card processors. It also provides an Internet merchant console to allow the merchant access to real time transaction reports and to see up to one year of transaction history from any web browser.

"This is a great value for merchants that need wireless processing," stated Robert Brooks, Director of Wireless Products at Atomic Software. "The Revolution NP sets a new price point for card swipe wireless processing. That, coupled with the ecomPort Gateway, which lets them use any of the major Credit Card Processors, brings affordable wireless processing to any merchant that needs it."

Robert Wallace, president of World Products, states "this system can reduce the transaction costs of mobile sales by up to 30% to 40%. While some merchants will still utilize the Liberty cell phone, Revolution Lite and Revolution Z systems, the Revolution NP allows merchants with lower transaction volumes the ability to save money by utilizing the credit card reader without breaking the bank to purchase a wireless credit card terminal/printer. The system even utilizes advanced security features of Address Verification (AVS) and CVC2/CVV2 card present verification from MasterCard and Visa for manually keyed transactions.

Basically what we've done is made the Palm VIIx into a credit card machine such as the Verifone or Hypercom terminals, but with a lot more features, including Palm standards such as, email, mapping, phone book, calendar, and more. The key here is that the merchant can use their Palm VIIx for multiple uses, it's not just a credit card machine."

World Products, Inc. is a privately held company that provides products and value added services to the credit card and check processing marketplace.
