Computer Architechs to partner with Lotus Development Corp. at Lotus' developers conference, Lotus DevCon 2001
Computer Architechs announces release of NomadEZ (TM) 2001 roaming user software
This is an announcement regarding release of NomadEZ, Computer Architechs' roaming user technology for Lotus Notes Client, and Computer Architechs' partnership with Lotus Development Corporation at Lotus DevCon 2001 for DevCon Online. NomadEZ is used to roam attendee accounts at the conference on the kiosk network. Computer Architechs is also working with Lotus to provide the pre-show and post-show sites for attendee access to conference information before and after the show.
CHICAGO, Illinois--June 18, 2001--Computer Architechs International Corporation (http://www.caicorp.com) is partnering with Lotus Development Corporation (http://www.lotus.com) to provide roaming user technology for the kiosks running the Lotus Notes R5 client at the Lotus DevCon 2001 conference in Las Vegas, June 17 -20.
Using Computer ArchitechsENomadEZ (TM) 2001 software, attendees will be able to walk up to any of the 130+ kiosks located throughout the conference facility and gain access to conference session, exhibitor, and sponsor information, speaker presentations, personalized e-mail and scheduler, and a discussion forum. NomadEZ allows Lotus Notes users to roam from kiosk to kiosk quickly and transparently without the administration hassles of large server disk storage or high network availability.
The conference kiosks, built and maintained by Computer Architechs, enable users to gain access to a secure Microsoft Windows workstation without requiring separate Windows passwords. Using Lotus Notes as the basis for user authentication, Computer Architechs allows user logons to be provided via either COM or via Java/Corba.
Conference displays, again set up and maintained by Computer Architechs, will be made available at the entrance to the session rooms displaying up-to-the-minute session information as well as a list of attendees who have urgent e-mail messages waiting for them.
The pre-show and post-show portions of Lotus DevCon Online, a virtual show environment running on Lotus Domino R5, will also be available for attendees at the conference. Through this website, managed by Computer Architechs and Lotus, users can tap into the exact same information available on-site via the kiosks. The post-show portion will also feature webcasts of every session held at the conference--made available for free to every attendee up to a month after the show is over.
This is the seventh time Computer Architechs has provided a virtual show environment and roaming user technology at a Lotus conference. Most recently, Computer Architechs partnered with Lotus in January 2001 to provide Lotusphere Online for Lotus' premier Lotusphere Orlando 2001 conference. Lotusphere Online catered to almost 12,000 attendees in four different hotels on 350 kiosks.
