AirlineCareer.com Unveils Testing Center for Aspiring Flight Attendants

(Harvard, MA) - AirlineCareer.com (www.airlinecareer.com), an online, subscription-based resource for aspiring flight attendants, today unveiled a new Testing Center designed to prepare members for new-hire training.

The Testing Center offers flight attendant applicants the ability to prepare for new-hire training via a series of interactive tests and study guides. Each test is unique and, upon completion, graded instantly.

"The failure rate at new-hire training is quite high, so we set out to create a web-based solution that addressed this problem. The Testing Center will pay huge dividends for serious applicants who want to successfully prepare for new-hire training, said Joseph Belotti, co-founder of AirlineCareer.com and a Captain for US Airways. "Since there is very often a great deal of time between new-hire notification and class assignments, it's extremely important to use that time to prepare for what lies ahead."

The site currently features airport codes tests for all major airlines and tests on the 24-hour clock. Future plans for the Testing Center include interactive tests on time calculations (adding and subtracting hours and minutes), FARs (Federal Aviation Regulations), Emergency Equipment and Procedures (by aircraft type), and PA announcements. In addition, a special testing section tailored to recurrent training preparation for each airline will be included.

According to Belotti, the Testing Center is the last step in a three-step website model. Members are encouraged to first read through the materials in the Evaluation Center. The Evaluation Center helps aspiring flight attendants find out how much they can earn, how long and how often they will have to work, where they will have to live, what their duties & responsibilities will be, and what benefits they will likely receive. Once they determine, with at least some measure of confidence, that a flight attendant career is suitable for them, they proceed to the Application Center. The Application Center helps members choose the right airlines, prepare their resumes, fill out the applications, and prepare for and master the interviews. The Testing Center completes the program, allowing new-hires to successfully prepare for training.
