MUTUAL FUND SOFTWARE LEADER CONFLUENCE ANNOUNCES NEW COMPANY NAME AND LOGO
Mutual fund software developer Confluence Technologies, Inc., announced that it has shortened its name to Confluence to reflect its identity as a provider of knowledge, technology and design for financial services companies. Confluence also unveiled a new logo and Web site to accompany the name change.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania -- Mutual fund software developer Confluence Technologies, Inc., announced today that it has shortened its name to Confluence, to reflect its established identity in the financial services world, the primary market for its software. Confluence will retain its full corporate name for legal purposes.
"Our clients have come to know us as more than a technology company," said Mark Evans, president of Pittsburgh-based Confluence. "When we started as Confluence Technologies 10 years ago, our business was building information systems and providing technology products to our customers. Because we now also offer a broad range of data management and consulting services, we've become a true confluence of knowledge, technology and design for financial services companies."
Confluence also unveiled a new logo and Web site to accompany the name change. The logo, an upward-trend bar chart, consists of interlocking polygons of vivid blue and green.

More than 40% of United States mutual funds rely on Confluences FundStation software to automate their investment performance calculations and broadcast data to investment advisors, analysts, brokers, and other customers. FundStation is also available in Application Service Provider (ASP) form as FundStation.net, the first mutual fund data distribution and performance calculation service on the Internet. Confluence recently released version 4.70 of FundStation, which automatically creates composite reports that adhere to Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR) standards.
INC. MAGAZINE named Confluence to its latest list of the 500 fastest growing privately held corporations in the country. Confluence is also one of the 100 fastest growing urban companies in the nation, according to the third annual Inner City 100 list released by INC. and the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC).
