"I was drawn immediately to the color and the detail in her drawings. I also loved her use of botanical artwork - it reminded me of the antique botanical prints that are so popular. The combination of the plants and the birds and the detail with which she painted them was really wonderful." Kathleen Quesenberry, Former Scientific Editor.

The Association of Avian Veterinarians has an international membership of more than 3,300 members from 43 countries. One of the purposes of the AAV is to educate its members and the general public as to all aspects of avian medicine and surgery. Through conferences, practical labs, avicultural programs, client education brochures and a veterinary journal devoted to all aspects of avian medicine. The AAV is committed to stimulate research and provide funding for avian research in medical and surgical areas will continue to assist avian researchers throughout the world.

Carole Niclasse, avian wildlife artist, has recently released three signed and numbered, fine art giclee prints featuring her favorite subjects: toucans, macaws and parrots. Each high quality giclee print, shows in great detail, the birds and their habitats. Moss on trees, a flitting butterfly visitor, and lush foliage contribute to a desirable collectors art print.

Ms. Niclasse captures every detail of her tropical bird subjects and their daily life. Collectors of tropical bird artwork will appreciate her use of color and her realism in portraying these magnificent avian creatures in their tropical rainforest setting.

In addition to Afternoon Delight, Tous Company features a pair of Keelbilled Toucans and Natures Haven an oil painting showing the beautiful rainforest world of Greenwing Macaws. All are available for purchase as limited edition giclee prints on Ms. Niclasse's web site CaroleNiclasse.com. A portion off all sales will be donated to Rainforest Conservation and Avian Medicine Research.

Carole is concerned about the escalating destruction of the natural habitats of her beloved avian friends.

"It is my greatest wish that those who view my work will experience a sense of caring and respect for the beauty depicted, and if nothing else, help them to be aware of the necessity to preserve and nurture the habitats in which these creatures exist.

It is important to remember that beneath the dazzling plumage lies great intelligence and sensitivity. It would be a tragedy to lose them." - Carole Niclasse

Ms. Niclasse's work also appears in the New York Botanical Gardens' course catalog. Carole Niclasse currently lives and works in Ridgewood, NJ.
