Funny stories flow freely when long time travel industry people get together .

Ken Osetroff from www.toursgallery.com tells of a lady on one of his Japan Tours who asked for directions to the toilet, whilst visiting a craft artists studio near Nagoya.

" Go out the door, turn left. At the end of the building is a narrow path next to the garden and the toilet is right at the end of it." said Ken.

After a few minutes the lady tourist returned commenting how strange it was to find such a small ceramic bowl on the wall that she had to back up against to use.

Apparently the lady was expecting to find an unusual looking toilet and assumed that this was what she would need to get used to using on her travels around Japan.

"However," Ken said, " If she had only opened the door next to her there was a very normal western style seat and it was not necessary for her to use the men`s urinal."
